Guy Barker and the specially created EFG London Jazz Festival Orchestra are joined by an incredible line-up of guest singers as they perform an array of iconic songs ranging from jazz standards to global tunes and originals, with extraordinary arrangements, plus an instrumental celebration of some classic jazz scores written for the silver screen, and is hosted by Jumoké Fashola

This year’s centrepiece is a medley of some of the greatest jazz scores ever written for the cinema, arranged by Guy Barker.
Scores include Italian Job by Quincy Jones, Ascenseur pour L'échafaud by Miles Davis, I Want To Live! by Johnny Mandel, Alfie by Sonny Rollins, A Streetcar Named Desire by Alex North, The Man With the Golden Arm by Elmer Bernstein, Taxi Driver by Bernard Herrmann, Anatomy of a Murder by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn and Round Midnight by Thelonious Monk.

This spectacular show was screened on BBC Four and broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and was filmed at Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, London on Friday 12 November 2021
