Bassist, band leader and co-founder of Tomorrow’s Warriors, Gary Crosby OBE heads a special line-up of his quartet plus outstanding guest vocalist CHERISE for this EFG London Jazz Festival show bringing a new aesthetic to the jazz standard. Drawing on the title of one of the great Betty Carter’s finest tunes, Moving On will dig deeper into Carter’s musical legacy; a career that saw her share the stage with Charles Mingus and Wes Montgomery and continue through to her iconic recording of Baby It’s Cold Outside with Ray Charles. With this spell-binding vocalist as an inspiration, Crosby will lead a night of standard re-invention.
