A fixation on analogue synthesisers blended with an acoustic continuum of vocals and drums results in a genre-defying repertory of synth-drenched, beat driven music with a vintage aesthetic.

Since the release of their debut album Icaros, Leeds based electronic-soul quartet, Noya Rao have been noted as one of the rising talents of the UK Jazz scene.

In 2019, they were selected by London’s Jazz Re:freshed team to play in their 2020 SXSW
showcase alongside Kokoroko, Steamdown and Richard Spaven.

In 2021 Noya Rao were awarded PPL Momentum Accelerator Funding, cementing their position as an exciting artist with a growing fanbase. Noya Rao release their follow up EP, ‘North’ in June 2022.

Comprised of vocalist Olivia Bhattacharjee, drummer Matt Davies, keys player & producer Tom Henry and bassist Chris Dagger, the band draws upon influences old and new, combining throwback soundscapes with contemporary song-writing.

A fixation on analogue synthesisers blended with an acoustic continuum of vocals and drums results in a genre-defying repertory of synth-drenched, beat driven music with a vintage aesthetic.

Their completely DIY ethos allows them to control each parameter of their output from writing, recording, producing, artwork and videos. Not a band you will stumble across every day, do not miss this unique and genre defying collective.

Supporting Noya Rao, Miche, has fast become one of London's favourite selectors. The 27 year old has hosted slots on Worldwide FM, Brussels’ Kiosk Radio and Red Light Radio and played at festivals including We Out Here. As Head of Programming at London’s illustrious Spiritland audiophile venues, and the basement club SUPERMAX, his eclectic sets have brought him into close ties with institutions such as Mr Bongo and BBE.

Miche launched record label, Discs Of Fun & Love in 2019 with his friend Frederika with the idea to focus on discovering forgotten gems. The label’s first four releases received great praise from music heavyweights, including Gilles Peterson, Jeremy Underground, Mafalda and Hunee.

Thanks to his extensive record collection, you can look forward to a set spanning modern soul, disco, deep house and beyond.
