Live jazz from The Adriano Moncada Trio with support from the Broken Biscuit Company as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2023

Join us for an evening of jazz as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival with the Adriano Moncada Trio and support from Broken Biscuit Company on Saturday 18th November!

Adriano Moncada Trio

Adriano Moncada Trio is an Italian London based guitarist and composer. Adriano gained a degree in Popular Music from BIMM London in 2018, under the mentorship of highly accomplished musicians such as Femi Temowo, John Wheatcroft, Andrew McKinney, Al Cherry.

Adriano's compositional approach is rooted in jazz tradition but also embraces elements from the pop/rock world. Radiohead, Pat Metheny, Keith Jarrett and Led Zeppelin are the main artists that shaped Adriano's musical identity.

'Live At Hampstead Jazz Club' is the first live EP of Moncada Trio. This performance captures the essential elements of this young jazz group: composition, interplay and the relationship with an audience. Moncada Trio enables the listener to immerse in a multicoloured palette of sounds. '40 Seconds of Nothing' is the leading single of this release, a melodic and atmospherical composition that benefits from a brilliant arrangement done by Ali Watson on bass and Tom Potter on drums.

Broken Biscuit Company

Within the current singer-songwriter epoch populated by guitar-wielding troubadours and piano balladeers, Broken Biscuit Company (AKA Jack Tustin) is a most welcome anomaly.

Jack earned his stripes as an in-dispensable gun-for-hire for the likes of HAIM, Matilda Mann and Rosie Frater-Taylor. Bass still in hand, he now returns to his primary love of songwriting.

With lyrical themes touching on a range of subjects from lockdown to long-distance love, Jack's comical, colloquial & typically English take on things influenced in equal parts by Richard Curtis, Sting and Elvis Costello as well as more recent artists such as Dan Croll and Bruno Major.
