Our famous regular jazz night with Joe Elliot's band Softpower as part of the EFG London jazz Festival 2023
This year we are proud to announce that we are listed as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival and what a better way to honour that than with a special MB jazz night!
Joe Elliot comes with a full jazz quartet in his band Softpower!
Softpower is a London-based improvisation ensemble. Its music explores a range of styles, from folk to muzak, often revelling in the kitsch and the disturbing.
The ensemble takes inspiration from pop culture ephemera and 20th Century alternative music for its improvisational dispatches, alongside performing original compositions.
Softpower's four members met at a willow weaving workshop in Acton-upon-Stevenage, and currently perform with a wide range of musical ensembles.
