AMY GADIAGA

Amy Gadiaga (pronounced AH-mee) is a singer, double bassist, composer and dancer born and raised on the outskirts of Paris to Senegalese and Malian parents. She spent her teenage years dancing before seeing music as a possibility for her.

Inspired by artists such as The Jacksons, Stevie Wonder and Betty Carter, she taught herself bass guitar as a teen after saving money to buy one. Aged 18, Amy moved to London, where she is currently based, to pursue conservatoire studies in Jazz Double Bass at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. For years, Amy played and toured as a bassist for other artists until she gathered the courage to pursue her solo career. Now a fast rising star of the London jazz scene, her debut single ‘Everything I Do’ is out now!
