Vienna born London based saxophonist Guido Spannocchi returns to LJF showcasing his new quartet as well as brand new music which has developed during a tour across Europe this spring. Amongst repertoire from his albums and a few obscure standards in unusual arrangements. With a strong focus on interplay the band use tunes as a vehicle of composition and will turn the club into a laboratory sharing their latest discoveries of melodic, harmonic and rhythmical material bridging genres and styles in a contemporary context. Having toured across the UK and EU extensively the band are currently focusing on recording and this will be their exclusive London date this winter.
