Fieh are a Norwegian fusion pop band from Oslo. It was brought to life in 2014 by the eponymous front woman Sofie Tollefsbøl (vocals) as well as Andreas Rukan (bass) and Ola Øverby (drums). The group now has eight members: Lyder Øvreås Røed (flugelhorn, mellotron, etc.), Jørgen Kasbo (guitar, vibrap

(Funk & New Soul/ Norway)

Their groove is thick, soft and danceable. The rhythm section plays tight together, but takes some liberties with the metronome. "In the pocket" is what such an interaction is called in technical jargon and is mostly applied to bands from the jazz, funk and soul continuum. These genres are also the most obvious ingredients of the Fieh sound, but there's also R&B and hip-hop here and there, of course. Some call such music "future soul" to distinguish it from neo-soul. Because while this one usually looks back to the 1970s with one eye, here you look ahead.

From 2017, Fieh released the first singles "Glu" or "25", which immediately generated media interest. Their feature debut, Cold Water Burning Skin, released that same year, brought them further critical acclaim. In 2022, the band followed up with their second album "In The Sun In The Rain", to which the press reacted enthusiastically again.

A stylish & furious cultural summer finale - dress up, let it all out - let's groove, let's dance!
