Leo Richardson and Graeme Flowers join forces with a stellar quartet to perform the seminal Blue Note album ‘Unity’ by organist Larry Young. They will be joined by the great Ross Stanley on organ and the incomparable Darren Beckett on drums. This exciting album, along with additional Woody Shaw and Horace Silver compositions, will certainly not be a night to be missed.
Leo Richardson and Graeme Flowers have formed this exciting quartet to play the classic Larry Young album ‘Unity’ on Blue Note records.
Tonight, they will be joined by organ stalwart Ross Stanley and the incomparable Darren Beckett on drums. The quartet will be paying homage to this amazing album and will be playing additional material by the great Woody Shaw, along with some Horace Silver compositions.
Between Leo and Graeme, they have worked up an impressive cv with a plethora of well-known artists including Kylie Minogue, Quincy Jones, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter, TLC, Tom Jones, Gary Barlow and Van Morrison to name a few.
This is certainly not a night to be missed, filled with some of the greatest compositions recorded, ferocious tempos, exciting interplay and the hardest of bop.
