London-based guitarist & composer David Preston leads a new quartet playing all-original material from his upcoming debut album featuring ECM recording pianist Kit Downes, Sebastian Rochford (Sons of Kemet, Brian Eno) and bass virtuoso Kevin Glasgow.
A new inception for London-based guitarist & composer, David Preston has been active in the London scene as both a sideman and bandleader for many years. Known most notably for his work as composer and co-leader for the critically acclaimed modern-jazz-mathrock trio ‘Preston Glasgow Lowe’, he now leads a new quartet featuring ECM recording pianist Kit Downes, drummer & composer Sebastian Rochford (Sons of Kemet, Pulled by Magnets) and bass virtuoso Kevin Glasgow.
This will be the groups debut live performance as part of the 2022 EFG London Jazz Festival where they will be playing all-original music from the recently recorded debut album, (due for release early 2023), at the intimate new Dalston venue, 'Mu'.
