Worshipful Company of Musicians' Young Jazz Musician award winner trombonist Daniel Higham performs his official 'Winners Concert' at PizzaExpress Live Holborn.
In 2021, trombonist Daniel Higham joined an impressive list of previous winners of the Worshipful Company of Musicians' Young Jazz Musician award, including Laura Jurd, Daniel Casimir, Emma Smith, Moses Boyd and Tim Garland. Daniel grew up in London where he began playing the trombone at a young age. He has studied at the Royal Academy of Music as well as the Purcell School of Music. He is currently a member of the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, the Kansas Smitty’s House Band and Clark Tracey’s Sextet. Alongside this he pursues a varied freelance career, recording for artists such as Jamie Cullum.
