Announcing the 2019 LEAP talent development programme artists

Leading music producers Serious have revealed the latest participants of one of its flagship talent development programmes under its Seriously Talented umbrella: LEAP.

Now in its second year, LEAP is an exciting Talent Development programme which supports eight outstanding artists from around the UK who wish to develop their Learning & Participation skills, ideas and practice.

The programme consists of bespoke training and mentoring support, a residential training programme, the allocation of seed funding to each participant to develop a Learning & Participation project longer term, and on-going opportunities and collaborations developed nationally through the Serious About Partnership network.

The residency will take place from Monday 21 – Thursday 24 January 2019 in Oxfordshire, during which time participants will receive support and training around many areas of participative practice. In addition, they will collaborate with other artists, work with local communities and develop a toolkit for L&P work that they can utilise in all of their future delivery.

The participants for 2019’s edition of LEAP are Bellatrix, Claire McCue, Heather McClelland, Ineza Kerschkamp, Joanna Eden, Matt Anderson, Milly Hirst, and Sam Sweeney. Full details on each artist can be found on this page.

LEAP is funded by Paul Hamlyn Foundation, with additional support from Arts Council England and Serious Trust, with collaboration from our Serious About Partnership network members.

Serious About Partnership is a national network of partners including Band on the Wall, The Bath Festival , Bristol Music Trust, Glasgow Life, J-Night, Lighthouse Poole, Norfolk & Norwich Festival , Opera North, Punch Records, Royal Northern College of Music, Saffron Hall, Sage Gateshead, Serious, Snape Maltings and Wales Millennium Centre.
