Bassist and vocalist Zamar-Eden comes to Morocco Bound for the first Saturday of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2026. Her music sits at the intersection of neo-soul, jazz, Afrobeat and Highlife.
Zamar-Eden is a South East London-based bassist, singer, producer, and composer whose music sits at the intersection of neo-soul, jazz, Afrobeat, and Highlife. Rooted in her Jamaican and Sierra Leonean heritage, she creates music that honours the richness of Black musical traditions while exploring themes of identity and community.
Beginning her creative journey as a bedroom producer, Zamar-Eden began playing the bass in 2020, a turning point that transformed her relationship with music and performance. Since then, she has become a distinctive voice within London's thriving jazz and alternative music scene, bringing warmth to every collaboration and performance.
Whether performing with Steam Down, holding down the low end for Xambi, or developing her craft through Tomorrow's Warriors, Zamar-Eden approaches music as a shared experience: one rooted in collective creativity. Alongside her work as an artist, she curates community spaces that support emerging musicians and celebrate the enduring influence of Black music.
