Cuban-born Zahili Zamora is a pianist, composer and arranger whose music is rooted in Afro-Cuban rhythm, shaped by jazz improvisation, classical technique and her experiences across cultures.

Cuban-born Zahili Zamora is a pianist, composer and arranger whose music is rooted in Afro-Cuban rhythm, shaped by jazz improvisation, classical technique and her experiences across cultures. Her original compositions combine intricate rhythms, expressive melodies and improvisation to tell stories of identity, migration and connection.

In 2025, Zahili released Overcoming, recorded with an all-star ensemble including Sean Jones, Yosvany Terry, Pedrito Martínez, Gerson Lazo Quiroga, Julian Miltenberger, Yandy García and Keisel Jiménez. The album reflects a journey of self-discovery, drawing on her upbringing in Cuba, her musical influences and the experiences that have shaped her as an artist.

A graduate of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, Zahili has performed at venues and festivals including Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club, Jazz Plaza Festival in Cuba and the Perugia Jazz Festival. She is also an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music, where she teaches piano, Latin jazz, improvisation and ensemble direction.

Joined by Gerson Lazo Quiroga on electric bass and Julian Miltenberger on drums, the Zahili Zamora Afro-Cuban Jazz Trio explores the connection between Cuban musical traditions and contemporary jazz. Expect vibrant Afro-Cuban rhythms, intricate piano improvisation and original music shaped by Zahili’s global perspective.
