Yuko Yokoi Band is returning to the Crazy Coqs after the last two successful shows over the EFG London Jazz Festival to bring the sophisticated yet warm sound of Brazil with a twist of jazz.

Yuko Yokoi is a warm and sensitive jazz and Brazilian music singer based in London.

She has launched her debut Brazilian jazz album, Verde in Jan '18 and completed the successful tour in Brazil, Japan and the UK. On Verde, she expresses her absolute love of both Brazilian and contemporary jazz music with a full of improvisation and musical shades of light and colour in a minimalistic style.

Yuko shares her absolute love of Brazilian jazz music. Full of improvisation, light and colour, her delightful interpretations are exquisitely individual. Her minimalistic approach to the music is entirely unique.

She has also performed at some renowned jazz clubs including the Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho, 606 Club, The Vortex and The Spice of Life Soho as well as Beco das Garrafas (Rio de Janeiro) and JazzB (São Paulo) .

She is the joint winner of the 6th Angela Carrington Award, held at the Vortex Jazz Club, London, which judges included the acclaimed jazz singer Ian Shaw. She has graduated with a Jazz Performance Masters at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance receiving the TCM Trust and Archers Scholarships.

Yuko will be performing back at the Crazy Coqs with the acclaimed musicians including Duncan Eagles (sax), Luiz Morais (guitar), Max Luthert (bass) and Jansen Santana (percussion).
