Released in 1967, “The George Benson Cookbook” is Benson’s third studio release. Featuring a mix of Benson’s originals and other jazz standards, the album straddles the fence between hard bop and soul jazz with vigorous and groovy aplomb. The album includes such classic tracks as “The Cooker” and “All Of Me”. In tonight’s retelling of this classic album, the sYp House Band (led by Tom Ridout – baritone saxophone) presents Nigel Price – Guitar in the hot seat!
