sYp is a brand new jazz venue in the heart of the city. We showcase and support some of the best up and coming jazz musicians in London.
Released in 1962, Dexter Gordon’s “GO” is considered “by jazz critics as one of his greatest ever albums” (Universal Music Group). Preserved by the Library of Congress in the National Recording Registry for its cultural and historical significance, this album includes such classic tracks as “Cheesecake”, “I Guess I’ll Hang My Tears Out To Dry” and “Love For Sale”. In tonight’s retelling of this classic album, the sYp House Band (led by Tom Ridout – tenor saxophone) presents Alex Garnett – Tenor Saxophone in the hot seat!
