The Jazz Physicians play a mixture of originals, contemporary and classic covers from Neal Hefti to Tania Maria, Burt Bacharach to Bob James.
Pianist, Aidan Glover, runs his studio in Greenwich and is a writer/producer for artists such as Rhys Lewis, Hajaj, Kelli-Leigh and Ella Henderson. All the tracks on The Jazz Physicians' album were penned by Aidan.
Andy Gangadeen has played drums for stellar artists such as Jeff Beck, The Spice Girls, Massive Attack and Labrinth. He is the Musical Director for Rudimental and has been the backbone of drum and bass legends, Chase and Status, for 16 years.
Bass guitarist Nick Cohen has toured and recorded with artists such as Ernest Ranglin, Jack Bruce and Matt Bianco. He is a founding member of the Ronnie Scott's Blues Explosion, who have a monthly residency at the club since 2008.
Collectively, the Jazz Physicians is a vehicle for musical expression that takes them outside their normal surroundings, so they can explore other facets of their playing. To paraphrase a well-known quote: “It’s jazz, but not as we know it”!
