We're thrilled to welcome Tradicional Cubano feat. Jose Zalba-Smith to The Ivy Club for the very first time.
An authentic Cuban ensemble, Tradicional Cubano offers a gentler, chamber-style take on the iconic sounds of the Buena Vista Social Club.
The group is led by Jose Zalba-Smith, a gifted flautist and composer, and son of legendary saxophonist Javier Zalba, former member of Irakere, Cubanismo, and the Buena Vista Social Club Orchestra. Deeply rooted in the rich legacy of Cuban traditional music from the 1920s and 1940s, Jose is committed to continuing his father’s musical legacy, and brings a fresh yet faithful perspective to traditional Cuban music. We're excited to experience their vibrant and unique musical bond live, in the intimate setting of The Ivy Club.
