Live jazz at Morocco Bound from The Chris Hyde-Harrison Quartet as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2023.

A born, bred and buttered Londoner Chris Hyde-Harrison composes music that takes influence from jazz, contemporary-classical and various world musics. On this debut gig for his newly formed chamber-jazz quartet he is joined by Alban Claret on guitar, Duncan Eagles on saxophone and Evan Clegg on trumpet.

Hyde-Harrison's first album with his band Estraven was described as "both adventurous and accessible, blending complex rhythmic ideas with an innate sense of melody."

He brings his unique compositional voice to this new group to perform original pieces that interweave expressive melodies, Arabic rhythms and heady improv. Also expect to hear some progressive arrangements of songs by Bjork and Joanna Newsom.
