Pete Long, the director of the Ronnie Scott's Big Band and long time member and associate of the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra leads his fifteen piece ensemble in an authentic recreation of one of the most famous events in jazz history. In 1938 Benny Goodman appeared at Carnegie Hall with a line-up that included the best musicians of the era - Lionel Hampton, Teddy Wilson, Gene Krupa, Lester Young and many more. Now 85 years later the music lives again.
