Internationally acclaimed, Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, whistler, and songwriter Andrew Bird, drummer Ted Poor, and bassist Alan Hampton come together as The Andrew Bird Trio to perform their debut release Sunday Morning Put-On, A Tribute To Mid-Century, Small Group Jazz, out this May 24 via Loma Vista Recordings.

The album finds Bird, Poor, and Hampton playing standards by Duke Ellington (“Caravan”), Cole Porter (“You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To”), and more. Sunday Morning Put-On closes with its lone original song, “Ballon de peut-être.” Additional contributors to the new album include guitarist Jeff Parker and pianist Larry Goldings.
