Born in Tokyo and based in New York, Takuya Nakamura is a trumpeter, composer and producer whose sound flows between jazz, jungle and electronic music.

A former student of legendary jazz theorist and composer George Russell, he became a fixture of NYC’s underground in the 90s, performing with Jojo Mayer’s Nerve and CocoRosie, and collaborating with icons like Quincy Jones and David Byrne.

Blending deep jazz roots with cutting-edge production, Nakamura continues to push boundaries as one of contemporary music’s true innovators.
