London-based Anmol Mohara is dedicated to bringing traditional Nepali music into a contemporary, global context. Drawing inspiration from visionary artists like Trilok Gurtu, Karim Ziad, Nitin Sawhney, Oumou Sangare. Mohara’s music is deeply-rooted to his homeland, fused with the improvisational spirit of jazz & his global musical influences

Urvashi - 16:00 - 17:00

Unabashed, unrelenting, and refusing categorisation, to witness an Urvashi performance is to experience a spiritual invocation. Rooted in their diasporic experiences in the UK, Urvashi draws on the devotional traditions of Indian Qawwali and Arabic Tarab, and channels these practices through experimental Jazz, Drum n Bass, UK Rave music and Hard Rock.

Shri Sriram presents Tarana - 18:45 - 19:30

Shri Sriram is an award-winning bassist, composer, producer and arranger whose dynamic quest for new and collaborative ways of making music has taken him all over the world. Accompanied by the 30-piece EFG London Jazz Festival Community Jazz Orchestra that has come together especially for this performance, Shri will premiere new arrangements of his original music taking influence from Indian Classical genres, Jazz and Drum n Bass.
