Siema Ziemia hail from Poland and come
together as an electronic-inspired quartet,
which draws an energy from collective improvisation. Their music attempts to recreate highly organized structures of electronic music with acoustic instruments. The band has a reputation for genre-defying experimentation, fusing free jazz improvisation with breakbeat, IDM, and influences from underground music scenes.

This is a UK premiere of their album ‘Second’ due for release this autumn by Byrd Out, part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.

Line up:

Kacper Krupa - tenor saxophone/synth

Fryderyk Szulgit - guitar/synth

“This is seriously good” Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6 Music)

“Wow....that was a trip!” Worm Disco Club

With support from saxophonist and composer Lara Jones.

“Lara threads energetic layers of improvised electronics inspired by 90s big beat classics, and her own sampled voice projecting a sense of fragility and defiance in equal measure. Really powerful stuff.” Gazelle Twin
