Celebrating the Jazz Clubs
A third-generation Jamaican trumpeter, Shanise Hall delivers emotive, spiritually resonant jazz inspired by Roy Hargrove. Supported by Tomorrow’s Warriors, Shanise will bring her all-original compositions to PizzaExpress Live Soho as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.
Shanise Hall channels a rich musical heritage into emotive, spiritually resonant performances. Drawing inspiration from Roy Hargrove, Shanise transitioned in 2023 from a promising academic path in neuroscience to a flourishing career in jazz, guided by mentors Gary Crosby OBE and Tomorrow’s Warriors, and supported by her grandmother and aunt.
She has collaborated with a host of acclaimed musicians, including Eve, Ezra Collective, Amahla, Blue Lab Beats, Marcus Joseph, Nok Culture Ensemble, and Ni Maxine, and has led her own project at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall Elgar Room, Southbank Centre, and festivals including We Out Here and Brick Lane Jazz Festival.
Shanise will next perform at PizzaExpress Live Soho as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, debuting new material and presenting a set of all-original compositions. Her performances are more than music—they reflect her journey, heritage, and the emotions of the moment, captivating audiences at venues from Ronnie Scott’s and the O2 Arena to Glastonbury Festival, the Barbican, and the Church of Sound.
