Sam Leak presents a special edition "Turnt Tuesdays." This event will feature two bands led by curators and hosts Gwilym Jones and Huw V Williams: Teimlad and Huw V Williams Trio. Expect cutting edge contemporary music from these two ensembles featuring some of London’s finest improvisers.

Turnt Tuesday has become a fixture on the London jazz scene in the last 2 years. Happening every Tuesday at Oliver’s Jazz Bar in Greenwich, this weekly event regularly features the best up and coming and established musicians that London has to offer. Since the end of lockdown Turnt Tuesday has seen a surge in popularity, presenting cutting edge music to sold out crowds. This one-off special event, curated by pianist Sam Leak, sees two of the regular hosts of Turnt Tuesday feature their own bands and compositions. This is sure to be an energetic and exciting night of music. Not to be missed!

Huw V Williams Trio:

Politically motivated compositions composed by acclaimed bass player Huw V Williams, performed in trio with London’s finest George Crowley on saxophone and Jon Scott on drums. Featuring music from Huw’s 2020 release “Equidistant Between”.

Gwilym Jones’ "Teimlad":

Teimlad is a new project led by Gwilym Jones featuring brand new original compositions. This quartet features some of London’s most cutting edge and accomplished improvisers: Tom Challenger and Emma Rawicz on tenor saxophones, and Sam Ingvorsen on double bass.
