One of the UKs best kept secrets QOW TRIO is a unique multi-generational band featuring saxophonist Riley Stone-Lonegran, British Jazz legend Spike Wells on drums, and bassist Eddie Myer. The trio initially got together through their mutual love of Sonny Rollins' classic piano-less trios of the 1950s but soon found themselves expanding into original material to explore the rich tradition of big-toned tenor players, from Lester Young to Dewey Redman to Seamus Blake and Walter Smith III. Their music encompasses the history of jazz from swing to free, always keeping a commitment to melody and improvisation at the forefront. Their second album 'The Hold Up' was released in 2024 to major acclaim and described as 'Sublime... A stunning achievement' by BBC Music Magazine.
