New 24/7, Global Jazz Radio station One Jazz broadcasting live from The Jazz Social with live performances and special guests dropping in to preview their gigs and talk about the festival vibe.

One Jazz are live from The Jazz Social from 10am to 2.30pm with shows presented by One Jazz Founders Chris Philips and Jez Nelson. There’ll be guests and live music from Lucy Joy and Thomas Sladden, an up-and-coming jazz duo based in London currently studying jazz at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. They perform a combination of luscious, sensitively interpreted standards and soaring, melodic original material written by both Joy and Sladden. Influences range from Oscar Peterson to Blossom Dearie, from Cecile McLorin Salvant to Kurt Elling, all imaginatively drawn into a soulful, lyrical sound. Come and listen and they will draw you into their world.

This broadcast will feature an interview with Festival Director Pelin Opcin and a special short live set and conversation with Hejira Duo featuring vocalist Hattie Whitehead and guitarist Pete Oxley playing the music of Joni Mitchell. P.
