Olivia Cuttill Quintet + un.procedure

EFG London Jazz Festival: Take Five Showcase

A standout double-bill bringing together two boundary-pushing Take Five alumni for an evening of contemporary jazz, storytelling, and experimental sound worlds.

Olivia Cuttill Quintet

Olivia Cuttill presents her award-winning quintet, blending New Orleans–influenced jazz with rich, narrative songwriting inspired by Louis Armstrong, Dr John, Nina Simone, and Randy Newman.

Regarded by Jazzwise as "one of the best new trumpeters to emerge on the British jazz scene over the past decade”, Cuttill’s music turns everyday moments into vivid stories, delivered with warmth, swing, and soul. With two acclaimed albums and extensive UK and European touring, Cuttill has been recognised with major awards including the APPJAG Martin Hummel Award (2025) and Presto Music Best Newcomer (2025).

The set features music from her latest releases alongside new material from an upcoming third album.

Line-up:

Olivia Cuttill – trumpet

Issey Chivers – vocals

Tom Harris – piano

Josh Vadiveloo – bass

Miles Pillinger – drums

un.procedure

un.procedure are an experimental-electronic outfit, comprising synths (Piera Onacko), drums + electronics (Nathan England-Jones) alto-saxophone (Cassie Kinoshi) and live visuals (Guri Bosh).

Formed in 2021, their music moves between psychedelic textures, industrial grooves, and experimental jazz influences, shaped into an audiovisual experience described as “narcotic and dystopian” (The Arts Desk).

They have appeared on BBC 6 Music’s Freak Zone, toured major UK/EU festivals, and are currently completing their debut album (2026).

For this performance, they are joined by cellist Simone Seales.
