King Vidor's 1928 classic silent film 'The Crowd' is scored by the fearless jazz pianist and composer in a London premiere performance.
Very much in demand as a collaborator and co-conspirator, Matthew Bourne has his fingerprints on a huge number of projects.
Bourne has worked with artists as diverse as John Zorn, Nils Frahm, Nostalgia 77 and Amon Tobin.
The latest production from Opera North Projects, 'The Crowd' is first performed in November at the newly-reopened Howard Assembly Room in Leeds, before coming to the Southbank Centre for the Festival.
