Kavuma has released eight albums featuring his original compositions: Mark Kavuma & The Banger Factory – Magnum Opus (2024), The Dandy (2024), Erskine & Kavuma – Ultrasound (2023), The Banger Factory – Warriors (2022), Back-to-Back (2022, debut piano record), Arashi No Ato (2021), The Banger Factory (2019, Ubuntu), and Kavuma (2018, Ubuntu), which was named one of the year’s best albums by DownBeat magazine.
The Banger Factory is a collective he set up in 2015 that is contingent upon bringing the people a good time. The ensemble has developed and evolved from a weekly Brixton residency to a defining sound in UK jazz, featuring some of the most gifted and engaging musicians on the scene today.
This upcoming album - ‘Back To The Beginning’ is a celebration of the ensemble's journey over the past 10 years, featuring compositions from each band member, it is a celebration of a truly unmistakable and distinctive group sound.
