LCCM present Vera Bohl and the Lunar Collective
Tue 19 November 2024
Stage time / 1:00pm
Vera Bohl's latest single, titled A Liberdade, is a rendition of Claude Debussy's Clair de Lune. Her improvised interpretation reimagines the moonlight serenade, which was inspired by Paul Verlaine's poem Clair de Lune. This version combines both classical elements with a sense of jazz freedom, highlighting Bohl's personal style.
On the 19th November the Moon is halfway between a New Moon and a Full Moon. It appears as a half-illuminated moon in the sky, with the right half lit up in the Northern Hemisphere and the left half in the Southern Hemisphere. In her upcoming performance, Vera will play improvisations from her latest EP and her upcoming album. She will be accompanied by her LCCM students, who together form the Lunar Collective. They will perform a selection of songs dedicated to serenading the moon.
