Krisztián Oláh is one of Hungary’s most exciting young jazz pianists and composers, celebrated for fusing classical sophistication with the fire and freedom of contemporary jazz. A rising star on the international scene, Krisztián has earned major accolades including the Montreux Jazz Festival Soloist Prize, the Junior Prima Award, the Creative Art Award, the Orszáczky Award, and the Gramofon Award. In 2018 he made history as the first Hungarian finalist at the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Piano Competition, placing him among the most promising pianists of his generation.

His recordings chart a bold creative journey: At the Back of My Mind (2020) introduced his original voice as composer-performer; Crescendo (2022) revealed a deeper, concept-driven approach; and Music for 24/7 (2023) expanded his palette with Britain’s acclaimed TRYPL Horns, showcasing his skill for vivid orchestrations and dynamic interplay.
