Beluga are a London based jazz-pop fusion band led by singer and bass player Louis Gascoyne. They play mainly catchy hook-oriented originals, with jazz harmonies and plenty of improvisation. They are influenced by Jacob Collier, Esperanza Spalding and Tom Misch. They focus on creating a positive, engaging atmosphere, and making sure the audience has an experience they won't forget.
Taylor Mitchell and Oliver Parikian perform as an intimate duo, expressing the possibilities of voice and piano. Blending jazz standards with original arrangements, they highlight the conversational relationship found between lyricism and harmony. With inspiration from Samarah Joy, Nancy Wilson, Larry Goldings and PJ Morton, Taylor’s warm and expressive vocals pair perfectly with Oliver’s inventive harmonic approach, creating a set that is both intimate yet nuanced.
