Italian pianist and composer Francesco Cavestri comes to Steinway Hall for a solo concert presenting his latest album NOÈ, inspired by the myth of Noah's Ark. An ark is a vessel that can gather different musical worlds and open new horizons in sound. That is how Francesco Cavestri thinks about his music, and it is the idea behind the performance he brings to Steinway Hall: a suite in three movements, each musically distinct, that takes improvisation, tribute and intimacy on board and carries them in the same direction.

A Steinway Artist and Universal Music Italia recording artist, Cavestri belongs to a generation that hears no border between jazz, electronics, hip-hop and the classical tradition. Born in Bologna in 2003 and trained between the Conservatorio G.B. Martini, Berklee and The New School in New York, he has been named Musica Jazz youngest "New Talent of the Year" three years running (2023–2025) and listed in Forbes Italia Under 30. His fourth album, NOÈ, was released in May 2026 on Universal Music Italia Classics & Jazz.

I. The London Concert, Pt. 1 - Full Improvisation
The evening opens with nothing written down. In the lineage of Keith Jarrett's solo concerts - and continuing a practice Cavestri has already brought to the stage of Malta's Teatru Manoel - the first movement is composed entirely in the moment, built out of the exchange of energy with the audience in the room.


II. The London Concert, Pt. 2 - My British Influences
A gift to the country that hosts the concert: the British music that shaped Cavestri's sound, reimagined for solo piano. Massive Attack, Radiohead, Brian Eno, The Verve, and George Frideric Handel - London's adopted composer. Four centuries of music, brought on board and carried into Cavestri’s contemporary jazz language.


III. The London Concert, Pt. 3 - NOÈ
The suite closes with NOÈ, the new album by Francesco Cavestri, a journey between contemporary jazz trio, electronic sounds and orchestral arrangements. Released in May 2026, the album takes the ark as a figure for what music can carry across: the sounds of a generation raised on jazz, hip-hop and electronics, gathered into a single vessel. Here those pieces return to where they began: the intimate and most personal form of the solo piano.
