Celebrating the Jazz Clubs
Evil Evil bring a high-energy mix of jazz, rock, and groove-driven improvisation to the Highams Park Jazz Club stage, delivering bold, unpredictable performances that showcase tight interplay and daring solos from three of the UK’s most exciting musicians.
Evil Evil are an instrumental trio making waves in the UK jazz scene with their blend of jazz, rock, and groove-heavy improvisation. The band features three exciting players — Tom Ford (guitar), Daisy George (bass), and King David-Ike Elechi (drums). Each has made a name individually, but together they create something fresh and energetic.
Birmingham-born Tom Ford, trained at Berklee, is known for his adventurous playing and unique tone. His style mixes jazz, surf rock, and fusion, having worked with Reuben James, Poppy Ajudha, and Chris “Daddy” Dave and the Drumhedz. His sound is rich with vibrant chords and melodic lines appealing to jazz and neo-soul fans alike.
London-based bassist, singer, and producer Daisy George, originally from near Reading, studied jazz at university and is now a key figure in the London jazz scene. She has performed with Poppy Ajudha and Jas Kayser. Her debut EP blends contemporary jazz with 90s hip-hop beats and 70s rock-pop melodies, highlighting her wide influences.
Drummer King David-Ike Elechi, 21, from Newcastle upon Tyne, studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire on a scholarship. Despite his youth, he has performed globally and recorded with Mansur Brown, Theon Cross, and black midi members. He’s also part of Knats, a quintet mixing jazz with drum & bass, house, and gospel, praised by The Guardian and Jazzwise.
Inspired by guitarists like Wayne Krantz, Evil Evil’s music is bold and lively, combining tight grooves with daring solos and sharp interplay. Every show is unique — the band thrives on spontaneity, always listening and responding to each other and the audience.
We’re thrilled to welcome Evil Evil to the Highams Park Jazz Club stage. They represent the vibrant edge of modern jazz-rock fusion — adventurous, full of personality, and sure to captivate both jazz veterans and newcomers.
