With her acclaimed 2021 debut ‘Yellow’, Yorkshire’s Emma-Jean Thackray unveiled a dancefloor-adjacent take on jazz that was addictive and endlessly inviting, with The Observer labelling the musical polymath (Thackray is a singer, trumpeter, DJ, beatmaker and more) “a supernova”.

Returning with the loose-limbed, insatiable groove of Reggie Watts-featuring ‘Black Hole’ – her first new music since that record – Thackray’s second chapter looks set to be even more uplifting.
