An intergenerational evening featuring Dimitri Vassilakis and his son Nestor on saxes plus Oly Hayhurst on bass and his son Theo on drums
Dimitri Vassilakis and his son Nestor Vassilakis join forces on various saxophones bringing an exquisite repertoire of Ballads, Blues and Bop amongst some original music inspired by their Greek heritage. Dimitri Vassilakis being a leading voices of Jazz in Greece has come to critical acclaim through his research in AI and Jazz as well as his performances for the democratic summits of the UN, his son, a recent graduate of Guildhall School of Music in London, is taking the British metropolis by storm. The two saxophonists will be joined by Oly Hayhurst on bass, arguably one of London's most important sideman and his son Theo on drums.
