Following performances of A Prayer for D’Angelo over the past year at MU, Church of Sound, and We Out Here Festival, Dave Okumu returns with a new gathering exploring his musical ancestors.

Drawing from a far-reaching catalogue spanning generations - from Nina Simone and Sly Stone to Prince, D’Angelo, and Kendrick Lamar - the performance celebrates artists whose work is rooted in resistance, hope, and resilience.

Featuring a remarkable collective drawn from the very best of London's musical community, alongside a 20-piece choir led by ESKA and Alice Grant, this is something you’ll want to be there for.

"This format was created as a means of exploring music which has and continues to change the world alongside the current creative expression of our rich and diverse community. These events are an offering, an opportunity for reflection, celebration and communion."
