GRAMMY-winning London duo Blue Lab Beats bring their signature fusion of jazz, hip hop, soul and electronics Upstairs this summer. Celebrating their new album The Blue Lab Beats Show, expect an immersive full-band performance from one of the UK’s most innovative live acts.
Blue Lab Beats are a boundary-pushing London duo blending jazz, hip hop, soul and electronic influences into a distinctive, future-facing sound. With over 84 million streams to date, they have earned widespread acclaim including the Jazz FM Innovation Award (2022), multiple MOBO nominations, and a GRAMMY Award in 2023 for their production on Angélique Kidjo’s Mother Nature (Best Global Music Album). Known for their immersive live shows, they perform with a full band setup featuring drums, bass, horns and guest vocalists, alongside core members NK-OK (drum machine) and Mr DM (keys and guitar).
Their new album, The Blue Lab Beats Show (2026), marks their fifth studio release and a celebration of ten years of experimentation and collaboration from the Blue Lab studio. Each track explores a different musical landscape, from jazz-influenced sounds and 70s fusion textures to dancehall and Baile Funk rhythms. Highlights include “Fire Up”, “North London Pace”, “Find Your Way” featuring Essosa, and “Slow Heart” with Jamila Woods, alongside collaborations with artists such as Denzel Himself, MC IGU and Four49, reflecting the duo’s wide-ranging, global approach to music-making.
Having performed at Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival and the Royal Albert Hall, and shared stages with artists including Roy Ayers, Thundercat and Robert Glasper, Blue Lab Beats have become one of the UK’s most exciting live acts. Now operating independently through their own label Blue Adventure Records, they continue to release music, support emerging artists and push genre boundaries with a spirit of collaboration at the heart of everything they do.
