Becoming Brave

Becoming Brave

Sun 17 Nov 2024

Becoming Brave is a sensitive and engaging workshop for children aged 4-8 that combines storytelling, drama activities and emotional intelligence development, based on the book Becoming Brave by Jennie Cashman Wilson that follows her relationship with her late husband, critically-acclaimed jazz musician Abram Wilson.

‘If you want to try new things, you have to be brave. But you can’t be brave without also being scared.’

Journeying through the Malaysian jungle to a little closer to home, the workshop uses drama games and storytelling techniques to help children navigate life’s challenges, all in an age-appropriate and sensitive way.

Jennie is an author, facilitator and founder of the Abram Wilson Charity which works to inspire a new generation of talent that is representative of the society we live in and encourages that talent to pass on its skills and expertise to the next generation.
