Take Five Edition 19
Take Five is a year long development run by Serious, which is aimed at supporting some of the UK’s most talented creative jazz musicians on their journeys as professional musicians and composers.
Over the course of the year the musicians on the programme attend a week-long online crash course with a selection of industry experts which is followed by an artistic residency in the Cotswolds where they spend time together as a group and spend the week working on each-others compositions, leading to a final performance on the last evening.
Filmed at Cat’s Abbey as part of Serious’ talent development residency it features collaborations and special compositions by rising musicians from all over the UK ‘s jazz and improvising music scenes. Take Five Edition XIX features collaborations and performances from Caius Williams, Claire Victoria Roberts, Helena Kay, Jonathan Enser, Judah Alvin, Liam Narain DeTar, Momoko Gill, Ni Maxine and Renato Paris with musical direction from Jason Yarde, facilitated by Fusion.
