EFG London Jazz Festival reaches global audiences online
Following on from the Jazz FM Innovation Award, recognizing the success of last year’s entirely digital edition, EFG London Jazz Festival keeps its commitment to being present in the online realm alongside a massive live programme.
As the Festival approaches, we are proud to announce the Digital Programme, TV and radio broadcasts and digital content partnerships we develop to surround the vast musical scope offered by the core live programme.
The Festival is committed to continue its connections with the global music community through this extensive digital programme.

Curated and hosted by Emma Warren, this series of conversations, live streams and film premiers explores the complex relationship between women and culture, with a focus on women’s roles as artists, cultural leaders, and audience members. We take the name for our annual conversation series from Article 10 of the Human Rights Act - the freedom of expression, with a focus on freedom of expression through art and culture.

The Sound of Becontree
We’ve scouted the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham to find the most talented and motivated vocalists, aged 16-25, for a bespoke vocal project. Eight singers have been hand selected and mentored by MOBO-Award-Winning artist Zara McFarlane.

In addition to broadcasting our opening show, Jazz Voice from the Royal Festival Hall, J to Z and Festival joins up programming a plethora of exclusive broadcasts. J to Z Late at Pizza Express Holborn showcases rising stars Romarna Campbell, Xhosa Cole and Ms Maurice on 12th November Friday live on BBC Radio 3 from Pizza Express Holborn.
Mark Kavuma, Chelsea Carmichael, Nikki Yeoh and Myele Manzanza grace the stage of the Barbican FreeStage Sunday 14 November for a whole heap of London’s hottest talent, for a J to Z broadcast aired on 20 November.
Film and Jazz
The EFG London Jazz Festival has teamed up with global streaming platform, production company and film distributor MUBI, to offer the joy of cinema to their audiences with access to hand-picked films, including a selection of music films. The festival audiences will receive a Festival exclusive offer of 3 months subscription to MUBI streaming platform for just £1, to surround and continue their Festival experience with the art of cinema.
Barbican Cinema, in partnership with EFG London Jazz Festival selects four extremely special films to join our existing digital programme. Coined as Jazz and The City, their selection includes cult films, A Paris Blues, No Maps on My Taps and City of Lights.
