Kandace Springs

LONDON Southbank Centre / Queen Elizabeth Hall
Belvedere Road
SE1 8 XX

Prince once said that Kandace Springs ‘has a voice that could melt snow’.  She’s very much her own person – ‘I would like to be known as one of the younger people that are keeping jazz and soul alive and vibrant,’ she says, ‘I love their realness’.

Her very first UK appearance was a sold out show at the EFG London Jazz Festival two years ago, when her first Blue Note album Soul Eyes was released – since then, she’s toured with Gregory Porter and recorded her second album, due for release this autumn.

This concert is presented by Serious in association with Kennedy Street and Byron Orme.

She has that rare ability that can’t be taught – to sound like an old soul, just doing what comes naturally
