Two of the most important emerging artists from the British jazz scene: saxophonist Camilla George with band, plus an opening set by her acclaimed pianist Sarah Tandy.

Camilla George and band will present material from her second album 'The People Could Fly' on Ubuntu Records. Camilla is a critically-acclaimed saxophonist who has been dubbed ‘the Golden Girl of Jazz’ by the Evening Standard, and her band showcase some of London’s finest young players, including Sarah Tandy, bassist Daniel Casimir and singer Cherise Adams-Burnett amongst others. For this show she'll also be joined by special guest kora player extraordinaire Kadialy Kouyate.

Camilla is one of this year’s Take Five artists – Serious’ flagship talent development scheme for emerging jazz musicians.

Opening for Camilla is her pianist, composer Sarah Tandy. Born and raised in West London, she has worked with Jazz Jamaica, Nu Civilisation Orchestra, Maisha, Nubya Garcia, Nerija, Binker Golding, and many more. Her debut album will be out this autumn via Jazz Re:Freshed.
