A Brief History of the Coolest Instrument in the World

LONDON Southbank Centre / The Clore Ballroom
Belvedere Road

Rejoice in the versatility of the electric guitar as we mark the milestones of the instrument’s prolific role through 80 years of popular culture, from Charlie Christian to Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix and beyond.

This unique show highlights the great guitarists through the ages with a mixture of performance and speech, celebrating the versatility of the instrument and providing an opportunity for amateur guitarists to perform an original composition with Chris Montague and his band on stage.

During the EFG London Jazz Festival 2017 there are performances of A Brief History of the Coolest Instrument in the World taking place in both Hull and London.
