Calling all music and events lovers!
Come and have fun and gain fantastic hands-on events experience by volunteering at the 2018 EFG London Jazz Festival.
We are seeking a team of enthusiastic volunteers with a taste for organisation to work with us on the delivery of this year’s Festival. We are London’s biggest city-wide music festival and bring together established stars and emerging talent, reflecting the traditions of jazz and illustrating its breadth and depth.
We ask volunteers to be available for as much of the Festival as possible with a minimum commitment of three full days. Within this time there are opportunities to volunteer in four separate areas of the Festival:
Production - The Production team manage the logistical planning and technical production of Serious events.
Volunteers may assist the Production team by working with Show Managers to support artist liaison and backstage catering, including general running and logistics support. Volunteers may also work with our Transport team to support artist ‘meet & greets’ at airports and train stations, as well as write reviews for Festival shows in order to provide valued feedback to Serious.
Communications – The Communications team manage the marketing campaigns (digital and social media, as well as print and press) and ticketing for all Serious events.
Volunteers may assist the Communications team with Festival information stands, show guest lists and press liaison. They may also help with the Festival’s social media output by taking photos, tweeting and building interest around the events. It is important for volunteers to be available on evenings throughout the Festival.
Development – The Development team manage relationships with current funders and sponsors of Serious.
Volunteers may support the Development team in delivering Receptions across the Festival for our sponsors and supporters. Volunteers may also support the set-up of branding across Festival shows.
Learning and Participation – The Learning & Participation team manage Serious’ learning and participation programmes.
Volunteers may assist the Learning & Participation team in administering and delivering multiple participation projects and events throughout the Festival; including artist liaison, general running and logistics support, alongside publicity for the events.
