A Brief History of the Coolest Instrument in the World

LONDON Southbank Centre / Clore Ballroom
Belvedere Road
London
SE1 8XX

Rejoice in the versatility of the electric guitar as we mark the milestones of the instrument’s prolific role through 80 years of popular culture, from Chuck Berry to Jimi Hendrix. This is also an opportunity for amateur guitarists aged 7 and over to perform an original composition with Chris Montague and his band on stage.
During the EFG London Jazz Festival 2017 there are performances of A Brief History of the Coolest Instrument in the World taking place in both Hull and London.

One of the UK’s most innovative guitarists and a founder member of Troyka, Chris Montague is widely recognised for his skills as a composer and performer.
