Ian Shaw with special guests

Two glorious musical hours of hope, history, conflict, exile, possession, fashion, fun, money, giggles, disappointment, power, spacemen, war, and most of all love.

Award-winning musician, comedian and presenter, Ian Shaw, gathers around his piano a sparkling team of singers from jazz, soul, folk and songwriting, and players from the jazz world and beyond.

From the desperate beautiful laments of the First World War, through the Hollywood-influenced thirties, the intimate, yet wide-reaching power of early radio, the teenage fifties, the botanically infused sixties, the bonkers seventies, the Brit-Sound powered eighties and nineties to, well, Emeli Sande.

Ian has gathered a multi-generational team of renowned singers and players to create an unforgettable evening of songs that culturally and politically mirror ten decades of popular song tradition. The full line-up of vocalists for the evening will be:

Claire Martin
Claude Deppa
Elaine Delmar
Georgia Mancio
Judith Owen
Kathryn Williams
Natalie Williams
Ben Cox

Yvette Riby-Williams

This concert is part of PRS for Music’s centenary celebrations.
