Award-winning musician, comedian and presenter, Ian Shaw, gathers around his piano a sparkling team of singers from jazz, soul, folk and songwriting, and players from the jazz world and beyond.
From the desperate beautiful laments of the First World War, through the Hollywood-influenced thirties, the intimate, yet wide-reaching power of early radio, the teenage fifties, the botanically infused sixties, the bonkers seventies, the Brit-Sound powered eighties and nineties to, well, Emeli Sande.
